How to Prevent Computer Viruses

Computer viruses are always introduced into the system when the user runs some programs. Therefore if we have an updated anti virus and NOT run files suspicious provenance unknown, we can be safe from these viruses with a very high percentage. The biological is different, we all know that we can take care of perfectly simple and the echo of a breathing polluted air conditioning we can get a virus. But creators of such software virus, sometimes we can find works of “social engineering” that is causing the user to run a virus almost without realizing it.

Step1
It is desirable to have an updated antivirus. And every time you install such a program from floppy disk or CD-ROM or other media, review it with the virus. Some programs include heuristic method and the ability to analyze all the files. If we have suspicions, it is advisable to specify these options. The heuristic method looks suspicious strings in the files, looking for potential viruses that are unknown at this time.

Step2
Be careful with e-mail with attachments. Do not run if the source is unknown. Even if you know the recipient, can be a virus but this person does not have to be responsible. There are viruses, in this case known as worms, which infect the system in such a way as to Auto ship to contacts in the address book (especially if you use Outlook Express). Therefore simply every time we send a file attachment, so check with the virus to avoid problems.

Step3
There are many types of viruses, but to summarize it can be said that any file that is run can have a code of the virus, because the programming techniques, are moving more and more. The most common executable files that may have malicious code are:. Exe. Com. Js. Bat. Sys libraries of windows. Dll files. Html. Doc (Microsoft Word viruses of the famous “macro”) files. Html code in Javascript or ActiveX controls included with … Even files with extension. Sam (AmiPro) and files. Src (the “saver” or screen savers) and as stated at the beginning PDF files and virtually the file extension is on the rise. Also known viruses that affect CorelDraw and Trojans that we will talk below that spread through the chat programs (the most famous mIRC) or via executable files that I mentioned.
